In 2020, this intricate hand woven and hand dyed piece won a commendation for a woven fabric from the Clothworkers’ Company.

My sample is inspired by a trip I took last year to Chile.  I was blown away by the colours and textures I saw in the Atacama desert and they have driven my colour palette.  I hand dyed silk using natural dyes experimenting with indigo, cutch and buckthorn.  I wove a double cloth with one warp dyed in indigo and the other space dyed in cutch and buckthorn.
